BIRRU SHIGUT
Birru Shigut is a senior technical adviser to the National TB Control Program of Malawi. He provides technical support for TB programming, implementation of the National Strategic Plan (NSP), Global Fund grants, the TB Implementation Framework Agreement project and other projects hosted by the National TB Program. He has extensive experience working as a public health professional in developing countries where he has focused on TB, DR-TB, health systems and Global Fund programs. He has contributed to the successful implementation of projects with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Save the Children, and Management Science for Health. Birru has a master’s in Public Health from Haramaya University.
